In a world over-staturated with products and things to buy, how wonderful it is when we find hand-made, amazing products to make our homes uniquely our own.
The minute I stumbled upon HalfMoon Candles was when I knew I had to have some. These candles are hand-poured and infused with different essential oils and crystals. INFUSED WITH CRYSTALS?! I know, right?
Crystals are magical, literally and figuratively. Crystals harness an immense amount of power and energy and can help us make decisions, find self-love, ground ourselves on the physical plane, harness creativity, and so much more. As with any object used in spiritual practice, the significance of crystals lies in an individual’s belief system. In terms of crystals, you find both traditional and modern manifestations of incorporating crystals into spiritual practice.
Personally, I love crystals because they are a physical and tangible item for me to focus intentions on. One can meditate, think, and conjure up ideas, however, sometimes we need to bring ourselves back to earth and feel things physically. Holding a stone in ones hand, wearing them as jewelry or simply placing them near our bodies, allows one to carry through the day with their highest ideals in line. Crystals by nature have their own sets of properties and intentions that can then help us to manifest our desired realities.
Pictured Above: I like to mediate with candles, crystals, tarot cards and sage. I’ve always been an extremist so hey, sometimes I like to combine everything together when I do a big manifestation ritual. HALFMOON Candles are now a part of my practice!
Not only do HalfMoon Candles smell amazing and have crystals enfused in the wax, Erica (the owner and creater of the candles and company) understands the power that lyes in the crystals. With each candle purchased, Erica provides an “intention guide” or a brief outline to understanding your intentions and how to practice harnessing them.
The three candles (there are 7 total & I will definitely be back to purchasing the rest asap) that I have from HALFMOON are:
1. Peace Peach + Rose Quartz: Peace/Love/Positivity
(Smells like you are being hugged… I swear! It smells like peaches and has a lovely fruit aroma. I recommend keeping this baby in your bedroom so that you feel cozy, loved and blissful.)
2. Pisces + Amazonite: Strengthen/Heal/Empower Truth
(Clean & fresh scent that I recommend keeping in your kitchen or bathroom as a way to neautrilize smells and keep your apartment or home with clean/fresh energy)
3. D.L.S + Obsidian: Balance/Protection
(Warm, Sultry Smell: I recommend to burn at night for some grounding energy during meditation, whilst reading a book, or enjoying a glass of wine in the tub)
You may be asking why I’m writing a post dedicated to one candle company & I am here to explain why.
It is absolutely important to me, being that I am a knitter and craftsman -first and foremost, that other craftsmen and independent artist are giving the recognition they deserve. Erica is someone who’s energy and power is so kind and welcoming, I would be doing the world a disservice if I didn’t share her incredible products with the world!
Everyone can buy ikea furniture, candles from target, rugs from walmart, etc… These companies make billions of dollars a day providing you with semi-okay quality items that don’t have much love or individuality to them. This being said, I don’t believe these companies don’t deserve the wealth they enjoy, I’m merely trying to showcase how incredible a lot of products are that you wouldn’t be able to find at your local target or ikea… These products are as unique as you are. Products that are so wonderfully (almost earily made for YOU! That’s how I feel about these candles to be honest, lol. Anything involving a crystal and/or a candle & I’m in love…. imagine my face finding out these babies incorporate both of my two loves!) suited for you!

Wow, those candles are so cool! Thanks for sharing, it is so important to support small businesses who create and function with integrity and passion, they deserve so much more recognition than they get.

They smell so wonderful! As an artist first and foremost, I think its so important to support others. I want to get to the point where I only (or more than 90% of the time) buy from craftsmen 🙂 GOALS! haha.
